Strong cooling and faster performance, Gigabyte Radeon RX 6600 XT Gaming OC Pro
This is an era where full HD 60 frame performance is considered basic for PC gamers.
Although it is not difficult to achieve 60 frames due to option compromise, the limitation of "option compromise" is difficult to meet the growing standards of gamers, and an external graphics card classified as "mainstream" is needed.
The product that we are going to look at is the Radeon RX 6600 XT, the latest model of 'mainstream' external graphics card that targets performance of Full HD full options over 60FPS. Alternate Spinning technology, which reverses rotation of the fan located in the center of the 80mm triple cooling fan, and 3D Active Fan technology, which optimizes fan life and noise by turning on and off the fan based on a specific temperature, are applied.
The output port configuration can connect a total of four display equipment with dual HDMI 2.1 and dual DP 1.4 ports, and is more scalable than a typical graphics card with three DP ports and one HDMI port.

The GPU clock recorded during the 3DMark Time Spy Stress Test with GPU-Z Log functionality remained in the late 2600MHz range, while the previous model tested remained in the early 2500MHz range. A difference of nearly 200 MHz occurred.
As a result, it also gives higher performance in real games. As GPU itself is the same as Radeon RX 6600 XT itself, 'class' is not a different level of performance difference, but it is attractive in that it can experience a more stable game environment.
Of course, this performance test would be good to refer to as much as possible because the same graphics card changes the limits of the GPU motion clock depending on the system configuration, cooling environment, and power situation.
Meanwhile, the Gigabyte Radeon RX 6600 XT Gaming OC Projchyeon graphics card can expect a strong cooling effect thanks to its backplate, which is simply over-clocking with its own over-clocking capability.
The boost clock limit was approximately 200 MHz higher than the factory overclocked situation, and the GPU score in the time spy test was 9401 points at the base factory OC, which is expected to increase by approximately 400 points to 9813 points at the overclocked level.

Although it is regrettable that the higher price compared to previous generations, AMD Radeon RX 6600 XT performs well enough. Although there is a reference design, the product launch consists of custom models from manufacturers, and the Gigabyte Radeon RX 6600 XT Gaming OC Pro JC Hyun's graphics card is also one of the custom models.
Designed to combine five heat pipes, triple cooling fans, screen cooling, and heat sinks, the backplate provides clear cooling performance even under full load, which allows boost clocks to be overclocked by an additional 200 MHz compared to the same level of overclocking models.
It provides satisfactory performance with the best option in the original Full HD game. Worrying about the global semiconductor supply issue is whether enough supplies will be supplied and how much price will be stabilized, and time will tell.
