Angle Grinder Blade Types at a Glance
Grinder is a tool for grinding or cutting materials with a disk-shaped blade or saw. Grinder itself refers to a grinding machine, which has many types and types, such as tabletop grinder and belt grinder, but generally refers to a small electric angle grinder.
When using a grinder, the most important thing is to select the grinder blade first. Grinder blades are divided according to the purpose of the work, whether they are for cutting wood or steel, or for smoothing surfaces such as stone or concrete, grinder blades should be selected according to the purpose of the work. In addition, the blade should be selected considering the RPM of the grinder body and the appropriate specifications.
*RPM? The speed of a grinder motor typically increases the cutting power when the blade is thinner and the RPM is higher, but the risk of safety accidents such as kickbacks is low due to external impacts and vibration.

For cutting tiles of general pottery and magnetic material, it is characterized by a straight finish and fast cutting power.

It is a day to cut various materials and is used to cut steel floors, glass fibers, and gypsum boards, etc.

2. Abrasive use

In the case of steel polishing, it looks like a cutting stone that is about 4-6mm thick, but it should never be used for cutting due to safety problems. The thinner the blade, the more detailed it is, the thicker it is, the stronger it is, the rougher it is.
● Diamond cup (concrete polishing blade)
It is mainly used to grind the surface of concrete or stone, and is divided into straight and non-angular blades depending on the type of diamond gemstone attached. When grinding a surface, a large oblique blade with a large construction area is mainly used.
● Wire brush blade
It is a blade made by connecting metal wires to grind rust or foreign substances formed on metal materials. It is divided into flat brush, half cup, and flat cup types depending on the type. The main materials are brass, iron (steel wire), and stainless steel.
● Wheel Pepper (Sunflower Blade)
This product is used for soft grinding of wood or for finishing after rough grinding. Wheel peppa will be selected considering the roughness of the peppa.
● Abrasive pad (Backup pad)
A product consisting of circular body tabs and sanding paper (sandpaper) or polishing pads, used to gently grind surfaces such as wood and steel.
3. Type_size of grinder blade
In principle, the size of the grinder blade must be selected to have an inner diameter larger than the spindle (tightening part) of the grinder and an outer diameter smaller than the grinder cover for safe operation.
Most grinder blades (wheels, discs) are sold in accordance with the grinder specifications of 4 inches, 5 inches and 9 inches, so you must first check whether your grinder is a small angle grinder with 4 inches of outer diameter or a professional angle grinder with 7 inches of outer diameter.
