6th generation Apple TV has excellent 4K quality and spatial sound
Motivated by Apple Music's lossless loss of sound, spatial sound support, and Berlin Philadelphia Digital Concert Hall's high resolution sound support, Apple TV's 6th generation (4k 2nd generation) product was purchased. I think Apple TV is the best product to enjoy the new service of Apple Music and Digital Concert Hall.
I have experience using Apple TV's 2nd generation and 4th generation products. It was mainly used as a mirroring tool for iPhones and McMini. Since it wasn't used that often, I disposed of 4th generation products in the middle, but I'm worried that it will be like that this time as well. Haha
The sixth generation of Apple TV was announced on April 21st this year. A12 Bionic chip supports 4k 60fps high frame rate HDR and features a new remote control.
1. Unboxing Apple TV
This is a new Apple remote control. He emphasized Siri's performance, but I'm not used to it. I think it's thicker than the previous model's remote control. And compared to the previous model, the possibility of breakage is much lower because it is made of aluminum only.
Eight-character power sockets, HDMI terminals (2.1 support), and wifi terminals. In addition, it includes a USB lighting cable to charge the remote control.
2. Setting up Apple TV
Apple TV => HDMI = Oppa UDP-203 4k blue-ray player => LG OLED TV connected. To properly enjoy Dolby Atmos' sound, we use the multi-channel analog output feature of Oppa 203. It consists of 5.0 channels with main speakers, center speakers and rear speakers.
When you connect the power of Apple TV, there is a setting using iPhone and a separate setting. Major settings are finished due to Apple ID input. One of the key features of Apple TV is its subscription to Apple TV+. Unfortunately, Apple TV+ does not have a formal service in Korea, so you need to enter your US Apple ID. Buy a new Apple device and get a one-year free subscription to Apple TV+. (Some say it will be until the end of this month.)
3. Apple TV+ Services
It's been a long time since I started the Apple TV+ service, but this is my first time using it. I'll have to use it enough to use it for free for a year. As expected, the menu composition is very simple like Apple. I thought I could watch all the contents if I subscribe to it like Netflix, but only the contents made on Apple TV+ are free, and the rest of the movies and Disney contents need to be purchased individually or subscribed to another OTT. I'm disappointed.
Apple TV+ content doesn't have that much yet. I think a year of free use will be enough to digest it.
First, I watched Tom Hanks' Greyhound because I was curious about Dolby Atmos.
On the other hand, it's worth buying Apple TV.It's a battle story between World War II's commodity fleet and U-boat, and the quality and sound are great. Although it is 5.0 multi-channel composed of liver, it has excellent negative separation and sense of field.
Next, I watched SEE as a series. It's an action movie consisting of 8 episodes of Season 1. It's a story of a blind human being going back to the Middle Ages. The level of immersion in the beginning is amazing. The more I go back, the more relaxed I am. As expected, the sound and 4K resolution are of great quality.
I haven't seen a few yet, but each piece has a high level of completion, especially quality and sound quality. It's nothing compared to Netflix or other OTT. Instead, I don't think Netflix and games work in terms of the amount of content.
For the rest of the year, I'll enjoy the hard-released series.
5. Apple TV 6th Generation General Review
The 6th generation Apple TV product is worth buying as there are more contents of good quality and sound quality. As expected, Apple seems to have made efforts to satisfy the five senses with a clean screen composition. If Netflix or YouTube aimed at popularity, Apple is aiming for premium. In particular, if you are in the Apple ecosystem, Apple TV is connected by Airpod Pro or Airpod Max, so you can easily enjoy spatial sound even if you don't have 5.1 multi- There's a rumor that the connection to the home pot is pretty good, too.
